Commute to and from work daily for as low N2500 weekly

Pair(www.ilovepair.com) is a weekly/monthly subscription based service which enables working class people commute to and from work in an air conditioned ride for as low as N2500 weekly or N10k monthly.
Pair works by matching people with Car-owners going same route to and from work on a weekly, monthly basis with an option of renewal after a week or month.

The idea sounds good but wait… How the service being rendered by PAIR different from UBER?

Pretty obvious really. It’s a subscription based service focused on home-work commutes.

Lovely idea. Also good work with the site. No complaints on the UI/UX here. Except for the margin of the main header on mobile portrait view. There’s no space between it and the navbar. Also, 2nd header should be “car’s” not “cars”.

Love that you’ve simplified the whole thing. Little suggestion, maybe give the car owners/drivers a cool name like “pilot” or instead of saying sign-up as a driver use sign-up as a car owner. Ignore this if you already have 5,000+ drivers signed up as stated. If not, how many do you have on board ?

Its different from Uber in terms of its market niche, business model and in terms of customer-value,Pair gives it’s customers more Economic value.ie its almost 500% cheaper.

Thanks @Yinka we are working on the mobile view.Yes we have got 5000+ users aboard the service, but that’s a pin drop in the Ocean

Very good idea. Will save commuters money. What about safety and security for both the drivers and passengers?

The Pair team sees safety as a functional we have to give Customers, but there again its a continuous iteration to make it better.
On the part of our business customers, all rides pn Pair are physically inspected, and drivers also undergo Pait background check in terms of ownership of the vehicle, their personal identity, and their residential information.
For our consumer customers (Passengers), we evaluate their identity card(govt. Issued) and their residential information(this has been relaxed).

@mauri - great work wish you all the best.

Kindly restrict access to sensitive folders storing user identities.

e.g Url Path: http://www.ilovepair.com/app/webroot/img/uploads/1/u/users/

This affects most of the folders being hosted by Lite Speed

Best of Luck.

Kind Regards

What were the main strategies used in getting these users on board and how long did it take? Also, are they all recurring subscribers?

@mauri Ahem…

Asset recycling? Car theft? We need answers

Hi,
I no longer work with Pair but I guess I can answer a bit of your question. At the time this thread was created, not all of the 5000 were active users(customers).I wouldn’t however know about the situation at this time, however with the Pair business model, its almost impossible for all the 5000 users to be active at same time, rather the company will always seek an equilibrium level where majority demands are met.
As regards strategy,am unable to reveal that(team secret).

Your linkedin says otherwise though. Thought you were the CEO.

My LinkedIn?
Am not on LinkedIn.

And I was never ceo.

A certain Ayomide Fernandez is, I believe, after some Googling.

Used to be CEO.
Folakemi Fernandez is the new person running the show.

Who also happens to go by the name - Chamakhe Maurieni https://www.linkedin.com/in/chamakhe-maurieni-649b21b7
