ChimeHack 3: Let's Work Together to Stop Violence Against Women

It is (almost) not (breaking) news anymore to hear about a child being molested, or a woman beaten to death by her husband, or young girl raped simply because she collected a gift from a man who expected something she wasn’t willing to give.

It’s time we advance solutions that will identify ways using technology and social media to report and stop violence against women and girls.

Join other women at CHIMEHACK 3, a two-day hackathon that will identify ways & build technology solutions leveraging social media for reporting and eliminating violence against women.

Here’s how you can participate:

  1. Submit an idea: participants can build solutions to help reporting and eliminating violence against women: http://bit.ly/2bs9tO9

@Anosime, I love this but is there a way to participate through online/internet for those who can’t make it physically?

Hello @davidsmith8900 unfortunately, there isn’t. But the proceedings of the event will be recorded and shared on Social Media after the judgement has been done.

Okay that’s cool with me. I just saw an article on iAfrikan about it. Also I’m allowed to submit ideas on the website but I only have one number/email address/contact address, so what should I do if I want to submit multiple ideas that might help out?

Great! You can submit the best idea you think that best fits but note that the submit your idea is to allow the party submitting the idea participate in the hackathon. Nonetheless, your idea is welcome.
