CAN Linda Ikeji Conquer the world alone?

On the post made by @ChikaUwazie on Linda Ikeji success, @MistaMajani said > Linda is hell bent on maintaining the image of a poor African woman conquering the world on her OWN since it’s her biggest selling point which is why she refused to let go of Google’s blogger CMS platform.

She could hire developers, designers writers and support staff who could take a business out of the bedroom.

Is there a point where a single individual can no longer properly manage his/her enterprise. If yes, has Linda Ikeji not reached that stage?

Does Linda really care too much about “Self Made Woman” at the expense of growing her business out of just being a blog?

Can’t it be more than this?

Guys, can we seriously stop opening another ‘Linda’ thread?!!

There are at least 4 threads opened on the same topic already!!!

If there’s something new or earth breaking that we need to discover, IF YOU MUST, update the threads to update us!!!

ONLY IF YOU MUST!!!

I have a good mind to even flag this post for abuse of all that’s good to mankind.

[Oh lord, Save me!! Save me from LIB worshippers]

Oops, obviously I am not a Linda worshiper or anything close.

I am just curious WHY Nigeria own TECH faciliated business ON THE TOP are not PLAYING well, Linda Ikeji as a case study. Web blogs playing well in her category like Naij.com and Pulse.ng are NOT OWNED by Nigerians.

WHY?

Is there something like greed or Self centered mentality that is limiting US?

Thanks

I never said that, breh

Sorry, corrected.

Some internet businesses can be managed by just one person no matter how profitable it becomes…

No, that’s not the right question we should be asking ourselves. We should be asking ourselves, ‘‘why is there such a fixation on Linda even amongst the tech community?’’. Yes, she can’t be ignored and she’s done exceedingly well for herself. That’s not in doubt. But to regurgitate the same topic and look for clever ways to discuss it, please there’s no need for it.

I just hope anyone else reading this and genuinely wants to open the next thread titled ‘can Linda be a billionaire’ or ‘is Linda good for tech’ or ‘how does Linda sleep’ etc realise there’s no need for it.

On this Linda matter, we are learning the wrong lessons…lionising the wrong things. It’s never to late…to make a fresh start.

We may have to bring her here for an AMA session. This will allow an easy access to Linda knowledge dump

Now Linda tell us, how manage?

Sound like a great suggestion!

Excellent idea!!! Mr @lordbanks pls come out of the Cabal cave and assure us that you will think about getting Linda for an AMA session on Radar.

Whatever it takes, a change.org petition, a go-fund-me campaign, a trek across 3rd mainland bridge, anything that will ensure that we at least have a break (even if it’s for a little while), from ‘Linda’ threads.

ooooooooh mercy not another Linda ikeji discuss, it’s getting pretty boring and to answer the question Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, no one person can be the chef and the waiter/waitress simultaneously it going to be a suicide mission.

@PapaOlabode is right, this could have been a simple reply to me in the other topic. Mods should merge the two.

Anyway, I’ll be a good sport and answer the question: Linda has conquered Nigeria alone. The world, no. Her sustainable competitive advantages are 1. Being a first mover 2. Her compelling story. She knows this, that’s why she continues to parade her wealth despite the well known risks of doing so in Africa. Linda without the poor African woman going it alone story is… Uche Eze. How has running a business “properly” worked for Uche? Nicely, but not Banana Island nice. Sometimes being unorthodox is an advantage. Linda reminds me of Mayweather in this regard. Mayweather as a “proper” boxer was a nondescript Olympian. Mayweather as a villanous, cowardly asshole without a manager is a 600 million dollar man

Please, can we quit with the ‘Linda Ikeji’ threads.
Linda will probably never change her business model. It is lean and profitable plus she has enormous goodwill.
Hiring all the developers in the UK won’t improve profit because what sells is actually the Linda Ikeji brand and not the platform she’s using.

L-OOO-L

Her business will not last another maybe five years if she continues doing everything the same ‘wrong’ way

My take?

  1. Endless/recycled threads borne out of envy and a need to satisfy the “pull-me-down-syndrome”
  2. No one is conquering nothing, please read up Maslows hierarchy of Needs to understand the LIB - ertarians
  3. Critique her model in silence, and build yours to Take over the world - Pinky

Look, deep down we detest success that isn’t ours especially when we can do same but no one takes note.

CaseInPoint - No business sells like soft news or stories, a wise man once said “Gossip spreads like Wildfire”…in any form, she will succeed.

Ok, now I’m blabbing. The best thing is to go to LIB and take a sponsored bash-post.

Danke

You sure about that? I’d say “no news sells like gossip - soft news.”

That’s a lot easier to defend.

Detest is strong word to use.
