There’s a very big difference between the mentioned sites and buffpod. I don’t think the logo lacks a professional feel, I think it doesn’t speak much of “Meet Professionals Seamlessly”, looks more like a swimming sports team logo. OP, I think you got all the reviews you need from those two sites.
Just a little extra. I can’t figure out why and how buffpod is a platform. It is ok to simply be a website or web app; it doesn’t take anything away from your market value. If the idea is sound and the execution is great, you will still be successful.

I opened buffpod on my android phone but it seems not to be totally responsive.
I would advise you work on the responsiveness of the website.

Its a good concept. If you can get professionals to get on it, it would be great. How do you plan to monitize? By building a community for advertizers, commission on transactions?
