I consider myself as a very creative person and I would want to take this creativity to a new level. That being said, I would appreciate if anyone can give me a pointer to where I can learn some graphic design skills using Adobe CS (PSD, Illustrator, InDesign etc.)
I wouldn’t mind a one on one coaching as well from anyone that’s very good for a fee.

Step 3. Find bigger projects
Except you have the required funds because the time of someone skilled enough to be the teacher you need is not cheap.

Awesome! Thank you. Trust me I truly don’t underestimate the power of self taught. I have tried that in many areas and they work and I’ll still do same here. I believe with the help of a mentor or tutor, one can fast tract a particular skill and cut out many unnecessary paths. Reasons why organisations send staff for short courses?
That’s what I intend to achieve here with a particular project I’ll be embarking on soon.
True. I know this. I am always on the look out for mentors myself
Problem is, look at it from their perspective. They don’t have time to waste and they don’t know what type of person you are.
They’ll be more willing if you have a previous relationship.
Not because they’re proud, but because not everyone is worth mentoring.
So build up yourself. Find a way to build a relationship with them. Form contact. Then approach from there.
That’s my current strategy.
