Black emojis on iOS 8.3

Apple released iOS 8.3 for iPhones. The update came with black emojis (see http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/08/new-emoji-iphone_n_7026734.html)

What value do you think this product update will bring to Apple Inc?

I might be the only person who is unexcited by this and I think the implementation is lazy. They should have just let the yellow round faces be.
I don’t know what value it’s going to bring except that it’ll increase the time people spend on their chat apps having to decide which one to use.

From the Father of emoticons

“But these days, if I want to send someone a smiley face, it’s so much easier to send someone a selfie — that’s me smiling. I don’t know if the graphical emoji will disappear or not. But the text ones I think will be used as long as people are sending text because they’re just handy. But once there are 10,000 of these emojis, it becomes hard to find the right one. So they may choke on their own success.”

Deciding which emoji to use out of so many is definitely a major downside.

I agree with @tonianni and that comment. I think it’s a bit much.
