Hey tech Guys, i came across this website today on twitter, stars.ng, they said they handle online bookings for stars, i spent almost 3 hours forgetting stuff i was supposed to do, i mean this is by far the best internet product niche and website i have seen in Africa, but i could not find anything about them in tech cabal or google, so am posting this here in case am missing something, check out the product design, product niche they are working on its truly revolutionary @lordbanks what do you think, when will you feature them so we can know more

waste data how? i enjoyed most of the star pages i went to and i believe that site is way better than irokotv web platform, if i need contents from stars =, what did you waste your data on? or are you just a crowd follower? who only like what lots people like?
Guy, if itâs your site, you do know you have to do a disclosure, right?
Iâll keep it brief: I have a pretty large RAM and somehow opening a tab for this devoured 3.4GB of it. Hard pass.

And to think that you made me access the web page twice to affirm I landed the right URL!
I thought the cost of maintaining '.ngâs domain would keep web designers on track; but, I thought wrong.

Web designing is more than just the design but the actual content.
The content is just all over the place and you overwhelmed your visitors, I had to close it after few secs.
Information overload leads to zero engagement.
I still donât know what the site is all about? Maybe astronomy

Hey guys, Disclaimer @tigwue i hav no relationship whatsoever with the people behind that site, i was searching for wizkid Ojuelegba ft drake and search took me to stars.ng/wizkid and i forgot my download because of the varius content i saw on different entertaining stars on that site, if i know the people behind that site i will be very,very glad to join such a team, because i will solving a real problem in Nigeriaâs entertainment
@onyeka i noticed the people behind that site have not heard of cache plugins or CDN to optimise their site as far as i am concerned that is the only drawback, the pages just drag and load, when it should just land on you i 3 sec or less. yeah they need to work on that, but as far as the contents and design and the space they are trying to work on is concerned, my opinion is they are on point.
@iamJamiu from what i can tell its a place to make online bookings for stars in Nigeria, including viewing videos, downloads etc you can conclude the rest for yourself.
@MrASulaiman good design cannot exist alone but as far as i can tell that site is way cooler than most of the site that have raked in millions of dollars in Nigeria a case in point is irokotv.com, its horrible design was maybe why they said they were changing to mobile only and also they are like an entertainment site, what will you say about lindaikeji or Nairaland?
@SashaWinston Radar should placed you on a warning because you have broken one of the rules be respectful, be helpful etc how does that apply to your comment, i saw a great site that solve my problem and i am sharing the news with fellow developers, from the comments of some people here you can easily guess those that have worked on products and projects and those that just come to waste their data on trollingâŚ

If the average user canât use the site and/or successfully load even the home page why would they use it? This is not an âonlyâ situation.
Also, for something you only came across by accident youâre coming off way too invested in peopleâs opinions of it.

@onyeka i started a thread with my opinion, i think i should be invested in it to state my case,not because i have any personal commercial interest but to defend my opinion,This forum(Radar) is made for such purpose. i want you to note that, If Techcabal.com suggest people to give opinion about their site before they became popular i am sure the comments would be very discouraging, i have seen that in this forum, its almost impossible for people to praise or give positive feedback on any product, the default reaction is criticize something forget the positive if any, the world is getting harsher and harsher, with comments, with money, with empathy, everything is going negative, but thatâs the way we think in this world now, independent creative critics is becoming extinct, that is why some people have the gift of perception and instinct more than others, these days if an investment goes into a startup that startup becomes cool automatically, becomes a respectable company, if a Tech-God somewhere say something nice about a startup all of a sudden everybody parrots his opinion because he is popular not because the opinion is right, e.g Paul Graham founder of ycombinator recently said that any Brand with capital letters as a logo is like a logo design by child, but Hugo boss is capital letter, 80% of Hollywood studios have logos that are capital letters, most fashion brands are capital letters, but tomorrow you will hear a Nigerian parroting that same talking point by Paul Graham as if its a fact without thinking about it by himself, that is the world will live in, if i like that site stars.ng, its because it solve my problem at that moment, when i first heard of twitter in 2007 i did not signup because i did not see the purpose, likewise facebook in 2006, and most people here pass thru that phase, eventually it grew on me today,the rest is history, your type and style of content is the RealKing, knee jerk reaction in judging a site experience is caused by inexperience.

Boy, I donât know what search engine you were using but stars.ng has no mention of âwizkid and drakeâ in ALL of its âgloriousâ 56 pages.
Thereâs no snowball change in hell any search engine would have spewed that site by mistake.
It will be better for you to observe some moment of self reflection, poker up, maybe get a new account and come try again, next time use the product section.

The search i did was on twitter. but to verify your statement i did a search on wizkid with starsng and i got a second link hit, lets not be a knee jerk reaction critics, looking to hit a product with the hardest blow is distasteful, be helpful, when you get to wizkid page on that site have you seen anything on wizkid that is cooler than that? me i have not that was why i posted something here, i am being helpful and if i see an opening in that company, i will apply because they have market product fit, they will need good passionate people to make it work well.

I am honestly finding it very hard to believe that you ainât involved with the team behind stars.ng. The fact is that nobody is going to beat you if you do.

@ribads no my first post stated i was searching on wizkid on twitter, i use twitter a lot i make searched there on content i assume should be on twitter before going on google if its not on twitter, it doesnât mean because am looking for a music file i see other interesting content i cannot click the link or does it? am passionate about ma beliefs, ma friends i defend people i dont know if its the right thing to do, if you show me a reason that my opinion is wrong i will take it based on the facts not because you are more experienced and knowledgeable, i like the site because it solve a very important problem in a cool way with a cool brand and the design is awesome, but performance wise its a âhorribleâ granted, but it is a revelation site, too much in your face at first but you get used to that.
@87_chuks year bro, you are a very witty guy, i like your swag, but take note today most artist release links to downloads songs on twitter and i think it is faster for me that way, however it doesnât mean if i see other contents outside download links i wont click on it yeah? so that was what happened i came across the site on twitter and i decided to see whats its about and i like.
@onyeka as far as i can tell by content and product market fit,it was a revelation to me the potentials behind it and what it can become, i like the site and what it says its doing, all they need to do to make it top notch is some important changes not too drastic, i see this site if they know what they are doing really making a dent in Africa tech scene. because of your insistence that a person cannot like a product without any personal interest, i wanted to write to the site management to send them the link of this thread,so they can see my contribution to their cause, but can you imagine the site donât even have a contact form, imagine that? its performance terrible 101, as for your claim that dissenting opinion is hate, i think there is a huge line difference between critics and haters, its left to the receiver to determine which is which, you ignore haters and listen to critics, but criticizing without details is lazy and can be termed as hate, you have provided details to your criticism if the owner of the site see this thread one day am sure he will listen to someone like you, i cannot own what is not mine, if i own a site like that, by now you will know my name, i wont be on Radar lazy typing random people, i will be hanging out with all the coolest stars in Nigeria promoting my product, okay. the only criticism anybody can do on that site is performance, the products are unique, the brand is awesome, the problem is wonderful, the solution is beautiful, the performance to solve the solution is work in progress with the right advice and good hosting am sure they will resolve that, why will you want to die on a hill? defending my opinion is not do or death, i cannot fault the design, if you fault the performance fine i accept, if you fault the design you have to show me a Nigerian site thatâs cooler than that, or maybe your own site so we can compareâŚ
