@easibor you know you have link page error…I think you should design a custom 404 error page.
And I read your pdf on how to install the widget…you made it clear that ads will not show if one is on a https is this a permanent thing or temproary coz as right now https is get a hit wave…just saying, compared to few years ago I care less about https but now I need it. For SEO, security, relevancy, branding (if you can afford to pay a ssl server), etc
@teejazzy I just created the custom error page. Thanks for pointing that out. Also, please where did you see the link error? kindly point it out to me so we can fix ASAP.
For the https, that will be implemented very soon, there are still a lot of kinks that I am trying to straighten out. However https is definitely on the list.
In the meantime, use cloudflare as your DNS and turn on flexible SSL. Did I add that it’s free? Absolutely no reason any site that accepts a username and password shouldn’t have SSL these days.
@ Xolubi, this is the kind of information I like to hear!!! Thanks
I went through the site, it’s an interesting concept but my issue here is what measure are you taking to avoid abuse of the service by spammers and fraudulent sites who will post ads for mischievous purpose?
Good point… Every ad you see on the network is MANUALLY reviewed before approval.
Our policy for what to approve is still evolving but somethings are clearly not allowed. eg…Porn and anything we consider remotely fraudulent in nature.
For your information we have already refused to approve some ads.
Cheers
Its been one month since I launched Adblabla.com and I must say that the first month was interesting…
Right now we have over 500 websites on the network and the number of daily impressions just keep increasing…
So , for all the startups here on RADAR that needs traffic…come join Adblabla…remember its free to join and promote your platform.
At a minimum you can use our platform to fine tune your ads and discover the ones with high CTR which you can then push to adwords or facebook…
Reminds me of some retweet platform I use, instead of exchanging retweet, you exchange web traffic via your links.
I have a friend who created something similar to this last year, you go to the platform, pick a category of ads (widget) you want to display, add it on your blog, it starts to show the text ads based on that category, then you on the other hand can create a campaign, add your URL and link title and submit, once your widgets are generating clicks, you will be getting Points that you will use display Your Ads campaign for free. Many bloggers used it. I did too.
He makes money from selling Credits to guys (companies) who want more Points for displaying ads (campaigns) across blogs that use the widget and he designed it in such a way that the higher the Bid (points) you place for each ad campaign, then higher your text ads will be positioned on the Widgets displayed across blogs using the widget.
I hope my explanation is comprehensive coz I was thinking maybe you tap a few things from that concept the guy used. Although he later sold off the entire Platform to some guys in India for some Thousands of Dollars.
Anyways, make it cheaper for point (credit) buyers, and sometimes dash your users some Points (sending them coupons via their mail or something) I am sure they will appreciate that and come back to use AdBlaBla more.
I have heard that almost no idea is new…that for every idea you think of, someone is thinking of same. The reason I am saying this is because I had absolutely no idea that something as you just described was built before. My idea and what I have done so far has been the idea of me and the rest of my team. So i find it really interesting that someone tried something similar in the past. Can you remember the name of tghe guy’s platform so I can check it out?
So concerning features, I already have plans to roll out some of the features you mentioned. Hopefully this week or next we will roll out some premium features… dont forget to check them out wink. You idea about dashing credits isalready in the works… we gave out 25,000 to each person on xmas day and another 25,000 credits on new year’s day…
Overall, thanks for the great feedback!
the platform is broaded.net by Enstine Muki,
he’s a popular blogger from Cameroon whom I met once on a visit, he also knows php programming very well, the skill was what he used to set up the site
