A free Stock Photo site. Finally. Snapaya.com guys

Is there a reason why there are no categories?

Snapaya like Snap Aya Like Snap it … Am i the only one seeing the igbo explanation of the domain name…? :joy:

Just Trolling. All the same, the website is neat.

We are keeping that part into consideration. The incentives part that is. But for now, we just want to go poco-a-poco on it.
But for now, the only form of incentive is the referral links that lead back to the profiles of the photographers.

This is already beautiful in advance sef. :dancers::dancers::dancers:
Yes, you can use it. Or any other photo on Snapaya for that matter.

Thanks @daviruz!
Don’t forget to spread the word too.

Thanks for mentioning that @Lamidi_b_a
The only reason we didn’t kick off with categories is that we want to get enough photos to fill up a few categories before pushing for that.
For now, we have a tagging system. So lets say you search for ‘danfo’, your search results give every photo of Danfo buses.

LMAO. Interesting @Kofacts
Agama :eyes: on you

I totally understand, populating the site is definitely the most important thing, just wanted to know if you had plans for categorising.
On incentives, I think you should start selling from the get go and have a sharing formula with the photographers.

B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T! :ok_hand:

Not every time make money, sometimes just get customers first.

This incentive is actually good because it’s free advertisement for them. I clicked on some of the referral links because I wanted to see who was behind some of the impressive photos.

I can see Snapaya as a free stock photo site + photography booking platform. The hyperlink can be linked to Snapaya’s own photography booking platform that showcases the photographer’s portfolio as well. That may be where you may be able to generate revenue.

Beautiful concept. Simple execution. Good job. @TheFuad

Who says you can’t do both at the same damn time. If you think offering these picture for free is what will get Snapaya customers, you are mistaken.
People who will use this service don’t really care about the photographers, they just want to get great pictures and variety. Best way to great pictures is to offer photographers(amateur or professional) more than recognition, they need cash too.
I think a few pictures can be available for free and the rest should be sold.

It’s left to @TheFuad to decide how he wants to charge users.

Don’t you guys think its too early to start talking about monetizing the platform. They barely have up to 20 pictures on the site. It is this money money mentality that kills startups

Any way to monetise with well-placed ads or something(if you’re looking to monetise)? The site and proposition is so beautiful, I feel selling photos would spoil everything. @TheFuad

Greater heights…love it

@TheFuad I guess I am quite a few days later than this concept, been having lot of issues getting stock images to use while managing our social networks, Since you have this now, I think we should just work to make this better and not reinvent the wheel.
Did I say I owe you a drink for this?

Great stuff. Clean site too! We at Akanka considered working on this, but great to see someone’s started. Will be watching out to see how it grows and I hope it does!

Wow, this is beautiful!

Simple & Cool…

I noticed you change the go down low to scroll down low - anyway, that’s fine.
i think you should use thumbnails, so load time will reduce and save data too.
the pictures are truly HD, I love that,

I always go back to see new clear pictures, still hoping to see some that are tech related, so i can use and give you credits,

Can I contact you directly?
