So, I have decided to quit my 9-5 to follow this agriculture biz/tech idea I really think is going to make for a kickass. I am quite mindful of the fact that, the tech ecosystem in Nigeria has little or no space at all, for agriculture-focused startups (perhaps for now). But I really believe, agriculture bears in its expanse, the hallmark for saving our future.

Successive government in Nigeria from the administration of President Obasanjo has been talking about diversifying the economy into Agriculture and non-mineral sector, but with no actual or concrete actions taken to that effect.

So I have decided to walk the talk; by taking action forward, towards “reinventing” agriculture in Nigeria.

I have discovered the vast opportunity and the challenges but there is a need to research the market

I really buy your idea on agriculture helping Nigeria and all, its not everyday I hear something like this… Nice one :thumbsup:

Lordbanks, It’s about what is obtainable in the country really, It is not a hunch, I did my research. Been to hubs and their best idea of an agro startup is a food delivery system or something closely related. In fact, most of these fellas think Agriculture is rather traditional and non-performing.
