A Question for all APP Developers & Tech Start Up Founders?

I am about to launch a direct ad sale on my smartphone blog and here are confirmed statistics:

  • Over 300,000 Pageviews on a monthly basis

  • 90% of traffic are search-driven (Google)

  • Rank high on most phone searches

*Have made millions from affiliate sales (a prove that we reach active buyers on mobile)

Here is a link to prove that: How I Made 315k Open Commission On Jumia Black Friday Sales Rush

THE BIG QUESTION:

Will you buy a Text Link Ads on Pay Per Impression Basis; N75 for 1000 Views on my blog?

Will you buy a Text Link Ads on Pay Per Click Basis; N50/click on my blog?

Share your honest answer?

Yes i will. Provided:

  1. Minimum campaign starts at #5k (to test the waters)
  2. All other 3rd party ads are removed from your site (to understand targeting)

Why?

  1. My guess is that due to the high organic traffic, you probably have a very or moderately high bounce rate. You should work more on getting them to stick around.
  2. Your blog was also probably built around affiliate marketing. So your users must demonstratively find my ads useful.

Otherwise, great job. I still need some lessons for you on SEO btw.
Kindly Blame any typo errors on Autocorrect.

For the pay per impression basis, I will definitely not… because you cannot guarantee me that the impressions are served to the most relevant audience… This is where google wins…

For the pay per click… I may consider it… but I will be interested in knowing what mechanisms you have in place to prevent fraudulent clicks.

  • What’s the demography of your site visitors?.
  • What’s the average page/visit for users?
  • What’s the average duration spent on the site?
  • It’s an affiliate blog and high visits from search engine. This means that your visitors are there on a mission. What is the probability that they will pay the ads any attention?

@Lord_Commander, that’s y I specifically mentioned tech startups and app developers; these are the category of advertisers my visitors appeal to. @hienyimba, Yea, you are correct! My blog was built around affiliate marketing which portends great visit from people with buy motive. @easibor, I am working on that with my developer…It’s a risk I need to curtail. Thanks

Bro, What is your definition of tech startup? Tech startup involves everything from a fashion/makeup app, to a payments app, comedy app, mama put app. Everything.

I am an app developer and I have seen many kinds of app. You would be shocked but there is even an app for farting enthusiasts.

A website with a large male population will not be interested in a fashion app for sure.

How do you know exactly what your users want? Do you have data to back that up(Google Affinity/Categories Data)? or do you have a direct line to IFA or SANGO?

My questions are what any serious advertiser will ask before throwing away money. That is unless you don blow like Linda and can avoid annoying clients that ask these questions

Was a TYPO; I mean’t tech product/service vendors

Don’t worry bro. I think they actually know what you mean.
