You have the money, I have the Idea

I was just thinking if there is any online platform where you can meet perhaps a single investor with whom you can tell more about your idea. I know there are many crowdfunding platforms like the newly started Gadafund but I am thinking of a very simplified way of doing this funding thing. Like Briefly without talking too much about your idea especially if it’s a very simple idea that too much talk might invite hijackers. Then have someone who is looking for where to put his little spare money.

The platform will serve as a first time meeting point after which the investor and the person with the idea meets one-on-one to discuss more detail about the idea.

This platform may be focusing on ideas needing very little money say between NGN50,000 to NGN500,000.

This is perhaps a free channel where the platform does not get involved in the process and does not ask for any form of payment. Is there an such platform and what do you think about it?

Good thinking but not with its own challenges.

  1. first thing you should be worried about is networking with potential investors and talk to them about your idea.

  2. maybe you should start with a site where you post free technology ideas and how you think it can be implemented.

  3. build an email list of both potential investors and startups. Start a podcast together with your blog posts.

  4. send regular updates to everyone on your list. See how it grows from there.

@henryC I was just wondering if there is a platform like this. I would love to do this platform but I’m so full with activities and plenty of other ideas I would love to work on myself, Like my newly started PickMe Taxi business.
