So i read this article on punch, but this has been an issue the telcos are actually crying about and the tech community and consumers has been wishing for it to come to stay, the issue of ott (over the top) services disrupting the telcos traditional call services. Telcos are crying that this services is making them have significant loss in their ROI’s but when they were making gains and the sim card was sold for N100,000 per sim and useless buggy sms and other unwanted services at the cost of their users money and trust, besides this guys disrupted Nitel, posting services and phone booth call remember the one you have to rotate it to make a call, so my discussion for us is that what telcos should learn from the OTT disruption coming it is definitely coming bit by bit and what should they accept, and take action in the disruption that will soon kick their ass.
