Am sure we have all noticed the scarcity of very good Graphics designers and UX/UI engineers.
These are the guys the programmers don’t consider are as important as them in a startup’s rank and file. But we realize how wrong that mindset is when you see the crappy sites that are flooding the internet all in the name of …sh**t.
Anyway, I want to know is there a hands on , physical school dedicated to training professional graphics designers and competent UI/UX engineers who can push the boundaries of what we consider possible.
Note: am not talking about online schools like Udacity , Udemy etc I mean a physical one.
Because in my opinion, outsourcing every aspect of your IT department is not a sustainable move for any startup.
Why do you always write in this very specific way, “Graphic Designer and UX/UI Engineer”?
You never say “UX designer”, you’d rather use “Developer” or “Engineer” and will only use the term “Designer” after the word “Graphics”.
Finally, why do you seem to pair these job roles?
Like I said, this may come off as very irrelevant but you will help my life by answering these questions please . Also, I am not trying to point out anything you said as wrong or bad.
I haven’t seen any dedicated UI/UX school in Nigeria. I think someone with a passion for it will have to run it at a loss for a while, because good UI/UX design is something that a lot of Nigerians seem not to appreciate.
Believe it or not, I have actually seen people sabotage good UI/UX in order to make it “look and feel more Nigerian”. This simply shows you how bad the situation is. People will tell you that “if it is too fine, it will scare people away because it looks foreign and expensive”.
