So at okadabooks.com we have always been looking for micro payment gateways.
We have tried everything from Zaypay to Paga. Of recent we found out about paysob.com and now just today I stumbled upon zoranga.
I just got off the phone with the customer-service/owner of the company. And they say they have been in existence since 2014 and not only that, they charge only 11.5% (record breaking) <-- lowest I have seen or heard.
My question is, who here has heard of Zoranga? Or used Zoranga? On the surface it looks great, almost too good to be true so curious to know if anyone has experience with them. Zoranga anyone?
Hi @ofilispeaks, If you don’t mind me asking.
What’s the prevailing payment method/processor your users use to purchase books or fund their okada wallet?
Have been using zoranga since late last year now and there service delivery is okay, you can cash out money from your bank account by transfering/ deposting into your zoranga account by transfering MTN recharge card or Glo recharge card into your zoranga account.
Theres a number you will transfer the credit to for your zoranga account to be credited, you can as well withdraw the equivalent of your money through any bank account in Nigeria so far you input correct bank account details, There service charge is considerate and resonable too.
Zoranga is crap. How do u charge almost 1000 naira to convert a 3000 naira value of airtime to cash? First off, I was made to understand that the charge is just 20%, which was ok by me in a way, only for me to be told after that there is an additional 10% charge for the transfer. Which means all together, total charge is like 30 or 32% coz i ended up transferring just 2000, with 100 naira left in my zoranga account. I was unable to transfer 2100, coz the system said i had insufficient funds. They say transfer happen within 20 minutes. Thats not true too. Stay away from zoranga, while i await the little amount i used to experiment to be credited to my account. Why dont i locate a VTU dealer and do a better deal with them? Rubbish.
Bros you shouldn’t be looking to process real money through them. Best fit is for recieving small payments mostly for digital products or the likes with flexible margin.
At 30% cost of conversion thats still way over what you’d get from any telco.
