What are some very good examples of services that bigger companies provide and smaller companies also provide but are more successful?

I am building an app that lets users find businesses near them and they can contact them and also leave reviews. I know google does this well, but do you think it would fly? Also, what are examples of situations like this that a smaller business thrived more than the bigger business, even if they both offered the same service.

That is exactly what I had in mind, they beat me to it. Though there are some features I don’t think they have. I am stunned.

I am not planning on doing so, I plan on going further than what Google has done and providing more means of communication and improving discovery.
