The Nigerian who would go to Mars

Interesting interview by @gbenga with Ighodalo who is one of the 100 people around the world who were longlisted for the opportunity participate in the Mars One expedition. We asked him if he had a girlfriend who would miss him if he were to be chosen for what for all intents and purposes would be a one-way trip. But as a Nigerian, he sidestepped the question. Still an interesting interview nonetheless.

Did the comments on TechCabal disappear or something? @lordbanks

@lordbanks is it a Nigerian thing to not answer a question. :grinning:

I dunno. Really. This is a confusing question. But seeing as I’ve attempted to answer it…welp. And you are off topic.

EDIT: I just realised who you are, @dallo. Haha. Okay. Let me explain. If you’ve been blogging as long as I have, you will have asked people a ton of questions. Maybe 30 percent of those queries get answers. Because I’m mostly talking to Nigerians, I may have come to the unconscious and potentially flawed conclusion that Nigerians like to side-step questions. But then again, I’ve always found non-Nigerian interviews much easier for some reason I don’t quite understand.

Now that’s out of the way, maybe you wanted to answer the question you side-stepped?

Yes. For now. TC is in the middle of a not very obvious technical transition.

I might as well, right?. I don’t have a girlfriend, but then, I would really like that part to stay out of the media you see.
