@henryC and at the same time, you should be ready to accept low-quality offers.

Dude, always look out for local realities before “copy and paste”…

@dapo, You see, principles don’t respect location. They work anywhere they are applied. @Ogechi_Daniel_Ndukwe showed that it worked for him already (in Nigeria) …and I use the strategy on every project I am involved with because I let data about content strategy guide me

What decision. This is arguably the worst thing i have read this year - I’m this emotional type and couldn’t just hop over the tears, whilst reading. It’s okay @Possicon I look forward to seeing what you’ll do next. Who knows, this might just be your last turn for a hard catch.

Best of luck; from a tech crush.

You sound so easy… You wish you owned that domain? Thats No excuse. You Need to walk down the road to see how things will be. Go get a domain, try it… then come back and preach…

@Chukwuka_Steve You couldn’t accept because you believe complex problems are only resolved by complex ideas. My brother, am not sounding so easy…am only sharing tips that work for me.

Content marketing is the key!

World people.

Just give your best wishes and condolences and keep it moving but no, you must all turn to domain experts and do post-mortem. Someone that’s never sold hand fan, now claims to know how to ship a 200kg wardrobe across Lagos while making a profit.

Y’all are jokers.

That man has more claim to his belt than these Radar posts. You can atleast appreciate that per dismissal.

That said @Ogechi_Daniel_Ndukwe you can take these talks privately with Mr Sheriff.

I don’t think @Possicon put up that post so people can throw him a pity party. As a matter of fact, his post has started discouraging a lot of people who want to give Startup a go (you can read comments here). What @Ogechi_Daniel_Ndukwe, is saying, albeit, less subtly is not just a “but @possicon you could have done so and so to succeed” but also to give people who might be interested in E-commerce a path to follow.

Content marketing is key for E-commerce, but there are so many things that kill Startups in Nigeria asides acquisition costs. I personally don’t know any E-commerce site that has an up to date blog in Nigeria. What we see in Nigeria are sites that have nothing to do with E-commerce attracting customers for them, which they in turn sell via ads or for a cut in the sales.

This message is for all entrepreneurs

A lot of startups in Nigeria underrate the power of Searching Engines and SEO. You see them spend millions on Social media but their search engine presence is close to Zero , how of you expect them to succeed?

90% of people who will buy your products will most likely come from search engine. The earlier you understand that , the better for you.

Hotels.ng is the one of the few Nigerian startup that’s getting it right on Google search. Their SEO is STRONG! and that’s one of the reasons why they’re very successful.

There’s a market for everything , trust me. You just need to figure out how to get the right people.

And whats so bad or funny about it. Its people like you who are afraid to dare to dream. And I can see how you are changing the world with your myopic view. Keep enjoying your normal and comfortable life but just remember the precious quote from Steve Jobs…

the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do

@kelz, very correct. Most of them are just focused on getting that BIG SEED FUND THAT WILL TURN THEM TO BILLIONAIRES OVERNIGHT.

It’s way easy to type on your phone keyboard.

Running a Startup is hard. You always think you know better till you are put on that sit. Take a chill pill MA.
