I bought a Safaricom line when it became obvious that Nairobi was my true home. But the more I travel, the more my cornucopia of SIM cards expands.
There would be more lines cards on that table, but I’ve lost quite a few over the years. I’ve only recently committed to keeping and maintaining the SIM cards of the countries I visit, because buying a new line every time one travels is a hassle. And nothing beats touching down in a country and instantly being able to connect, especially when there is no airport WiFi.
I’ve taken a quick look at global travel SIM cards and they seem mad expensive, I’m guessing because of the costs of getting all the networks to support them.
One day, someone will create a line to rule them all…or just get rid of SIM cards altogether?
