This is the classic chicken and egg situation. Which one came first? The egg or the chicken?
IMO, it depends on the product offering. Some are gonna benefit from branding and others are gonna benefit from the app flooding phones. Long and short of it is your EXECUTION strategy should be on point.
This should be a point of argument in the first place.
