You make it sound as though it were a bad thing to have many payment options.
That said, I looked through the site, and it’s pretty cool in my opinion. The app appears targeted towards tickets, which may be a win for them if they can execute properly.
I think the CBN is doing an amazing job regulating the finance space in Nigeria.
On the other hand, the players in the space seem to be having major challenges with technology and innovation. ALL have basically the same product with slight feature variations here and there.
Nairabox (so far) is looking good. The guys seem to know what they’re doing as I’m feeling their approach of providing services and solutions, not “just another payment app”.
I see them as more of a lifestyle companion, not a mobile money wallet and if they’re wise, they should stay that way.
this is not just “another payment option” … from the info on their website … it probably will make me watch more movies at the cinema… lovely concept
Says the guy who joined Radar just to say this.
I actually tend to agree with you, and hope they can cover as many retailers as possible in their roll out. Unfortunately I cannot try it out just yet as it insists on using a Nigerian number, which is fine.
I’m not sure what you’re insinuating but how is a payment product that compels you to spend more a good idea? Not saying this one is that, just going by your comment.
Haha. We’re looking at the payment space as well.
TC is cool, though. I’m loving it.
the app has a neat UI, love it. I noticed a couple of things though, first; i was able to sign up twice with a single phone number (simply prefixed the 2nd time with a country code), second; on android i get to see 2 options to fund my wallet while on ios i see a lot more options.
Thanks for the comment on the UI. We’ve invested so much time into it so we treasure feedback (-/+).
About the multiple sign ups, thanks for the heads up. We’ve actually patched this bug a few weeks ago but the update hasn’t been rolled out; since we’re maintaining a monthly release cycle for now. We have three very interesting features landing this month so expect an impressive update soon.
Also, the new update will match Android to iOS features. Thanks once again.
You, my friend have us figured out. We’re sticking to lifestyle. You’ll see more of this in the following weeks… and months.
Hi DRJ, it’s a nice innovation, but I found a couple of security issues tho…
That’s if NairaBox Dev guys cares
