Coding is not the answer to what exactly?
Can it be argued that at the end if the day, after all that hustling, it is only sheer luck that pulled Linda over the line after all?
Not luck! Itâs opportunity.
And we all get gifted with that at least once in a blue moon.
Itâs easy to water down her accomplishments, which is what a lot of people do. You canât deny that, even in this thread while a lot of people reflect on her story some attempt to water the OPâs point and I am not talking about you.
Even Mark Zuckerbergâs success has been attributed to Luck. Itâs not!
Itâs opportunity and we all get that, but the substance of a man is what makes the man hone what ever heâs been given as @87_chuks pointed out with the parable of the talent.
I hardly read her blog but I admire her and her dreams. There are only a few people I admire, and sheâs up there with the remainder 3: Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Dell and Dwayne Johnson. Although she has less admiration points than I have for Zuck.
P.s: It might be tempting to retort back and say, âwhatâs the difference then?â
DONâT
OK then, if it was not luck, then it must have been skill then? Tell me, what particular skills in online media do you see Linda having that propelled her blog to where it is?(serious question)
skill? yes.
patience consistence perserverance negotiating skills amongst others. all of these are soft skills.
The Linda era seems to have replaced the Jason Njoku era on our online tech discussions. #WeTriumphStill
i donât just understand this, every time people keep talking about Linda whether she is a âtechieâ or not? most out of hate by how much she has been able to make so far from blogging(which is considered IT stuff by some), others out of sheer curiosity. I swear the number of times i have seen people raise the âLinda IKEJI issueâ around here it would have made a blog by now. But the truth is this, IS Linda a Techie or whatever NO! is she an Entrepreneur? Yes. while she isnât able to write codes, develop softwareâs like all you lots. she has held on to what she believes in with determination, perseverance as an Entrepreneur and made something out of nothing. she has succeeded were many others failed and i think everyone has to be happy about it. I have seen most people who have started blogging, even friends from Tech Circle that werenât able to continue after a few years.
PS: You mustnât be a Tech Person to own a blog and everyone mustnât be a Tech person. And the success of blogging isnât about having a fancy blog⌠at least i know a couple of IT people even with the designs functions etc couldnât even keep their blog
Her 7 years of fashion and editing magazines was training for blogging on fashion and celebrity gossip. Thatâs what she doesnât realize. Success after all is when preparation meets opportunity. The Internet gave her the op.
She just bought a house in Banana Island. Yup, sheâs well and truly the most successful tech entrepreneur (yes, not âbloggerâ) in the land.

Where on earth is the Banana Island
How many tech entrepreneurs do u know
I have bowed down and retracted all my previous criticism. Grand hustler. Respect.
How well invested are you in your opinions if a house on banana island can successfully bury them?
Arenât opinions based on data? This house in Banana Island is new data, which can alter opinions.
Being flexible is a very good trait. To what extent is being invested in an opinion helpful?
The whole point of forums like this is to exchange ideas and fine tune them, and we are entitled to change our positions if we feel like.
Sure. However, his argument wasnât contending the fact that sheâs successful. She had implied that much already with the post that started this thread. Just wondering if thereâs a certain level of success that compels one to just give up and join the celebration.
Sheâs doing good anyway
