Konga has finally taken the ‘bull by the horn’. From now henceforth, customers will have to prepay for any product ordered on the website.
This to me is the real beginning of eCommerce business in Nigeria. Pay on delivery has proven to be a ‘cog in the wheel’ of progress for Konga, Jumia and every other person that used the model.
My fear, however, is that this might be the last joker available to eCommerce companies. It is a make or break decision that might determine who will remain in the game.
