I beg to disagree, you can never take away creativity and the ability to express oneself from intelligence,it will actually shock you to know that nerds,geeks and innovators of our time are actually guys with vast wealth of creativity who were able to find a suitable medium for self expression.
One thing i have come to learn over time in life is to always think outside the box and never assume. we obviously wouldnât know if aliens communicated in a fringe lingual different from ours so it will be best to try and establish an initial medium of communication via English for starters.

I donât think youâve listened to Elon Musk speak. Oratory, wittiness and fluency in expression are very good skills but it doesnât make one less of a genius if they donât have good command of expression.
Sometimes the things they are processing in their heads are too vast and spin too fast to articulated and expressed verbally. Itâs why many geniuses are bad teachers.

Well i catch your drift and i totally agree, but i think you misinterpreted my view, me saying them being able to express themselves does not in itself mean verbal expression like i rightly wrote finding the ââappropriate medium of/for expressionââ which necessarily doesnât imply verbal communication, i mean Einstein and Tesla did that effectively with their theories and postulations and a host of others who necessarily didnât have to use speech or verbal communication like you rightly put to get their ideas out there.
Itâs like you meet white people for the first time, and you expect they understand your local dialect.
For starters, if they understand English, they are not aliens. They are lost humans. English is primarily human English unless you think theyâve been intercepting us from time,t=0.
You wouldnât want to venture into a new field of exploration or market without first of all carrying out some research of some sort otherwise reaching a brick wall will be inevitable at some point. Hence, i would postulate that if there was ever to be an intended alien invasion am almost certain they wouldnât just pop in from the milky way unto earth without havenât sent a reconnaissance team before hand (and i think that intelligence in action).
