In reply to tech startups not doing anything in Akwa Ibom, I would like to state some tech startups that are doing well (Assesment would be based on Longevity and relevance as I may not have insight as to their commercial traction). There are companies like: 2479ja tv-an online tv streaming platform, www.afropot.com-food ordering and delivery service, codekago interactive-a web and app building company,.starthub innovation-a tech hub ecosystem that teaches web and mobile development, www.hypestationng.com-online media promotions startup, and some more (would update as they come to me). This startups are trying their best or could do more but as we are all aware, publicity and promotions cost may be beyond their budgetary reach (though you may expect that since they are tech businesses, they shoul know how to establish their presence online, lol). Akwa Ibom state may not be a tech startup haven but few individuals are toiling to change that perception and put adequate structures to begin to acieve that. Entrepreneurship is growing in Akwa Ibom not just Tech industry, lots of young people are really thinking of innovate ideas on what to do, other bodies are also making the awareness of how to start a business at reach for all (Start Conference organized by The Roothub). We still have a long way to go but we are on the sure path to Begin and establish our own Silicon Valley- nay, our own Startup Capital of Nigeria.
