First of all, as someone pointed out, 2 million transactions =/= 2 million Nigerians.
Also, Interswitch isn’t a startup. I didn’t mention “startup” in the line you quoted but from my post, you should have been able to tell. Interswitch started in 2002. They’re 15 years into this thing. They don’t belong in “startup” discussions.
Fair enough. I stand corrected. I didn’t say that with certainty, and I wanted to be corrected if I was wrong. I admire the route you guys took with agents (dunno if that’s the right term but I’m sure you know what I mean) and what not. I had no idea the numbers were that strong. Good stuff.
You are right but the total bank accounts in Nigeria is less than 50 million. We still have over 40 million adults who are ‘unbanked’
