How do you escape the mediocrity?

This thread reminds me of this; “When the madness of an entire nation disturbs a solitary mind, it is not enough to say that the man is mad”

Speaking of ironsi if you listen to him on YouTube or to Ahmadu Bello or to Ojukwu contrast their clarity of speech to the PHD holder Good luck Jonathan or to our current president Buhari or any of the state governors. Then you will understand just how far Nigeria has fallen. For as a man talks is how he thinks and organizes his fellows.

About the removal of regions by Ironsi, in the wake of a coup it was his way to prevent regional armies forming. Of course it did not stop the counter coup which eliminated ironsi and set the stage for a clash between the East and the rest.

Fani Kayode has fantastic diction and clarity of speech, so does Fashola, so does Saraki, and so does Donald Duke.

It didn’t stop the first from making an arse of himself, the second from selling Lagosians an ₦80m Wordpress site, the third from making it suck being a Kwara resident or SGBN customer, and the last from building a bridge to nowhere i.e. the infamous White Elephant called Tinapa.

The moral for me is this - “The better they speak, smile, or dress, the more suspicious you should be”

Always remember that as.a man talks he thinks. Fani Kayode certainly has fantastic diction which is why you can hear his madness a mile away from his childish Bianca expose to his religious and tribalistic bigotry. Fashola is not a good example of speech. Donald Duke is your best shot and Tinapa may have been a white elephant but.the intention was good - to make Calabar a destination. He failed with Tinapa but he scored with the Carnival and the Obodu Ranch and the marathon.

Every time @asemota writes about Nigeria, I actually burst out laughing. The analogies kill me. Now Nigeria is a hostage taking country. As in, Kidnapistan.

I heard my bros in Ekiti is giving out 1 sachet of rice and N200. And the line is longer than Apple’s. BTW, He’s the best governor they have ever had. We’ve had so much bad leadership, we don’t even what it is again. Mediocrity is the new expectation.

Too much negativity on this thread.

Where some people see frustrating limitations, others see an opportunity to make an impact. One man’s kpomo is another man’s Gucci shoe.
