Hacking Hiring a Developer

Dear gods of RADAR,

So i’m in the early stage of testing out a Tech enabled idea so the following are correct

  1. we are quite broke.

  2. we need a PHP guy that can modify( add small functions,link up small APIs etc) & maintain an existing code base .

  3. We are not really interested in buliding a scalable system right now , as if this takes off . we’ll rebulid the Core.

With all these constraints in mind , help me reach a solution to hiring a web developer.

  1. do i hire a corper , get him a small room and pay him 30-50k per month for a year.

  2. Hire an Experienced guy who currently works full time for a Tech coy , will work 2.5hrs/day remotely for 50-70k ( has to meet agreed weekly targets )

3.Hire a Freelancer to come work in the office full day, Three days a week for 50k-120k .

  1. a mix of option 1 & 2 where the experienced guy coaches and reviews the code . He also has to write.

Please tell me the merits and demerits of each option or even a hybrid of them.
