Let me use this opportunity to say a big thank you to the Paystack team for making the process of having an online payment system very easy and seamless. Ibrahim of Paystack had to develop a Magento extension because of my request and I can boldly say that Furnish.NG might be the first Magento ecommerce store with a live Paystack integration. He kept on checking on me even when I was busy doing some other development work on the store. They’ve got this spirit of excellence that I admire so much. Well done @xolubi and your team.
Congrats on the launch. The white font you used in the subscribe pop-up is partially obscured by the sunlight shining though the window behind the nice-looking couple.
It would be great to see the actual listings of the featured images you used on the home page, or more info when you hover over them or click on them. E.g. the living room, when you hover over the table or the chair, there could be more info about the name, price, etc.
(I see you also used https, as did that other site you went on a crusade about .)
Thank you @amakaikem.
I understand what you are referring to. I will work towards integrating that feature in subsequent releases.
I’m glad that the little crusade had achieved the impact it was intended. Big kudos to Hotels.ng for listening. Yes, SSL is very important. I like to talk and do the talk as well
This is how to do a write for product review (although some might argue the piece is too long, i humbly disagree ) . I must say well done. This is a niche that is waiting to be exploited.
However, do you do flatpacks like ikea? They may be something to consider as well.
Good website, clean and uncluttered
Thank you @princehumphrey for the feedback.
Production of flat-packs require some level of organisation and sophistication which we haven’t achieved yet. Definitely, we’ll explore this soonest for some categories such as tables and beds.
I quite agree. They sure require level of organisation and sophistication as you have rightly mentioned. Good to consider durability for those categories as that is the bugbear of most flatpacks. You wouldn’t want most customers to make use of your “money back guarantee”
@Ndianabasi thanks for answering my questions. I’m eagerly awaiting the response to the payment question.
A bit of quick feedback on your subscribe pop up. On iOS Safari the text box occludes the “Go!” button if the email address is of reasonable length (please see pic below):
Also, upon subscribing, I didn’t get an email confirming my subscription. In case someone else used my email to subscribe, I need to be notified and given the opportunity to unsubscribe if I so wish.
Other than that good job on the site. It’s very clean and user friendly so far.
I will check this out and fix it. Thank you.
Sorry for this. Sending of confirmation emails wasn’t activated by default. However, I have seen your subscription. You will be able to unsubscribe when you begin to receive emails from us.
Currency conversion is handled by your issuing bank at the official exchange rate. Paystack equally processes foreign cards.
How do I invest in your company?
How much are we talking?
Hi @sop_DDy. Do you think this is the right time to invest in a just-launched venture? Isn’t it too early?
It’s never too early for angel investment.
You can imagine. The player is turning down money.
LOL @akindolu. Nobody is turning down money yet. I will contact you privately @sop_DDy. Thank you for your interest.
Maybe the player is looking for some traction so he can get top top premium.
Nice Idea. Good Product!.
Noticed a few things when I visited :
*The link you your about us page is broken.
*The homepage took a while to load. I’m guessing this is because of the number of images on that page. I’ld suggest you use a CDN , as well as host / load images from another server other than your main server.
*That subscription popup is quite annoying and it showed on every page I open. I had to keep on cancelling it over and over again. I’ld suggest you set it to show only once per visitor or better still , put it below content. Personally , I dislike pop ups , and I’m sure others do.
Thank you @kelz for the awesome feedback.
Sorry about this. The page isn’t ready yet.
I attempted to use Cloudfare (I love their free bandwidth policy), but they want to me to transfer my DNS records to them. Going through their DNS policy, it seems you aren’t allowed to set your own TTL. I’m doing a lot of experiments now which demand me to have TTL of about 5 mins for most of my records. I’m reviewing Cloudfront’s pricing to see if it will fit into my lean budget. Howbeit, CDN will be implemented before the end of this week.
Sorry about the annoying popup. The controls for the subscription popup is very limited. I’ve simply restricted it to the homepage only. Please next time you come across it, kindly subscribe. It means a lot to me. Thank you.
Yes, this was on my task list. I will review this and implement all recommendations soonest. Thank you @kelz.
You can, though… and below is a screenshot from a domain on a “free” plan.
Also, you should know that if the specific record is “protected by cloudflare”, i.e. has the orange cloud on, changes to the record pretty much reflects immediately as they just switch things up on their end without affecting what IP address the record points to when you run a dig
command.
