For many years Facebook has been promoting innovation across the Middle East and Africa, providing startups with the tools they need to build, grow, monetize, and measure.
This Bot Party is aimed at preparing developers in Lagos for the Bots for Messenger Challenge, a contest to recognize and reward developers who are able to create the most innovative new bots on Messenger in
(i) the Middle East and North Africa; and
(ii) Sub-Saharan Africa across one of these three categories:
1. Gaming and Entertainment 2. Productivity and Utility 3. Social Good
It’s sad that we still have to “reserve spots” can’t they do live video or better still put the content online right now the people that want to do stuff are scattered all over Nigeria but there’s no local community. I’m working on building my first Facebook bot and currently serving in Benin
@_Laolu in addition to what @donlafin said, bot parties are open to anyone to apply to organise in their location, if I recall correctly. Again, it’s an offline networking event, not a bot development course.
