Facebook Username Change; Now Possible!

For a very long time, one had to think twice before clicking on the ‘Change Username’ button on Facebook due to the limit set; after which you’re locked to a Username for life.

I knew a day would come when Facebook will have sense like Twitter and Instagram, and patiently waited to switch to my preferred username.

Well we might have noticed Facebook finally implemented @username, but what I doubt is that we probably didn’t notice we can now change our usernames without restriction.

I have grabbed mine and can now be poked via Facebook.com/sulaimanxyz

And maybe our dearest Radar Management will learn something from that trend.

Do note that your older profile URL / username will be open to the public when you make a switch, there is no re-direction to your new profile URL / username!

Enjoy a preferred username if you will!

Please! @lordbanks and @seyitaylor kindly consider unlocking Username Change on Radar. If Facebook can do it, we sure can do.

Make it a paid feature if you will, and I’ll gladly pay $10. #NotKidding

PS. I’m surprised TC wrote nothing on this.

Changed mine a long while ago. Doesn’t seem like a new feature (or is it that multiple changes are allowed if the name is not taken?)

Of cause one could change, but there was however a maximum limit of 2 consecutive username change.

So after a second username change, one was locked in for life.

But now, we can change usernames at will without restrictions just like Twitter and Instagram. All dumped usernames are however open for the public to grab.

Thanks for the share. I just quickly grabbed mine (which was chuqd initially because I hastily confirmed the last username change by typing my password and hitting the enter key without noticing my keyboard didn’t pick all my entries).
