I’m not a fan of startup platitudes, but I think that at least up number three at least, this list is on the money. I remember talking to @erik while I was in Nairobi, and something he said that has stayed with me is that in all the startup ventures he’s participated in (more than eight thriving ones over the past six years), the second, if not the first hire they’ve always made is a designer. I guess that should make @leslie happy.

Since there is no place for 10 in most early stage startups, perhaps there will be folks combining many features in one body! A designer that is also a magician!
