I strongly believe tech recruitment in Nigeria today is totally broken. Employers barely know what they want for a role and definitely have no idea who fits that role. Only one person will analyze requirements, plan and brainstorm UI/UX, prototype, write the code, deploy across Android, IOS, Xamarin etc. First of, Android development is miles apart from IOS development, Xamarin is a different beast entirely, there are only few guys who combine these well. And these guys are not much and don’t come cheap (that’s if available) . And it’s even called enterprise application. In such Enterprises there’s even a whole unit for just testing and QA alone. Companies will do well by writing precise job specs, which is both specific and highly prioritized, needless to say feasible. There is no gain writing up (dreaming up) extravagant tech stacks if you won’t find the perfect person for that role. If in doubt consult an expert.

Radar Jobs is filled with request for BDFLs.

isn’t this what you people call a “Code Ninja”

A code ninja is someone who’s very very good in a particular field. Not a jack of all trades.

Lol… i know, was just being silly… you know i saw one of such opening the other day and the guy wanted someone who had mad graphic skills with Photoshop, illustrator, who also double as a web developer, mobile app developer etc. It was annoying.
