Em...Radar so far!

Happy Sunday guys.

So last night, @seyitaylor rode on his white horse like a Roman Emperor, arrived on the thread, Hotels.ng is Still Completely Unsecured!, and decided, in his all-knowing capacity and power, to close the thread.

These were his reasons

  1. He’s not sure why the thread was so long

I’m not sure why this thread is so long though.

This was a thread that was raising very healthy conversations and was already impacting change. So, to him, it is quite strange for the thread to be long. So because it was so “long”, he decided to close it. When was the length of a thread a factor in shutting it down?

  1. He wasn’t sure what the point of the thread was

I’m not sure what the point of this thread

So @seyitaylor, after reading the subject of the thread and going through the conversation was still clueless as to what the point was? So he decided to shut it down. Now, I’m asking when was being clueless as a moderator a factor in closing a thread?

From my observations, the topic was never flagged. As with any thread, there have been opposing opinions but the conversations were generally very healthy. For once, I thought Radar could serve as a tool of change.

So what rules of Radar did the topic go against? Does it mean that the Radar owners/moderators can do as they wish because it’s their property? I can remember that until recently, @seyitaylor wasn’t even regular on his Abandoned Property, Radar, until this post was created and he was told in the face of his irresponsibilities. So he’s decided to prove that he’s in charge by going on a thread-closing misson?

I’m not here to beg about opening the thread. Forget about it. But if this unreasonable closure of thread happens again to any other person on Radar, then it might mark the beginning of my withdrawal from an authoritarian forum.

Enjoy your powers!
