So @ibukunakins and I are planning to organize a developer meetup in FCT Abuja. It would be an avenue for us to hack, share ideas and discuss about various topics of interest. We think Abuja really needs something like this.

Hello @the_middleman and @ibukunakins, first I am glad that you two have find it noble to think of a developers meetup in Abuja and considerably right on time.
Yes, Abuja needs this and thanks to Enspire Incubator (x.com) who have taken it upon themselves to form, sustain and make the tech community in Abuja survive the test of time.
Overtime, we had had similar events at the hub but the question we have always asked is “Where are the developers in Abuja?”.
I will be interested and am sure you will love to contact/connect with Enspire Incubator, they will love to be a part of this.
I believe an event like this will help us network and at least know each other and in the long run grow the community.

Hello @the_middleman.As @dkdimgba said, Enspire incubator is doing quite a good job and we need more like this to sustain the tech community because Abuja has some very talented developers all scattered around. Count me in.

I happen to be in Abuja for a month or two and was interested in getting a sense of what the Tech scene is like in Abuja. I am based in London, and somewhat deep into Tech/Business, and I am pretty keen to meet Developers, Designers and other Tech business people. It will be lovely to have a meetup. Have any dates/venues been peddled at all? There seems to be a sizeable crowd already; just following the thread…
Hi. Glad to see that you are interested in this. We don’t have any date/venues fixed yet, but we will very soon. If all goes well, the meetup should come up sometime in August.
If you are really keen to have a feel of the Abuja developer/designer community, you could attend the meetup taking place this Friday, 31st of July. I think @dkdimgba is one of the organizers, #UXAbuja.
