I had breakfast yesterday with a couple young developers who have created an amazing product that I’m certain will be a big deal. Childhood friends who grew up together, one of them would go to the other’s house where they would “wait for NEPA to bring light so we could code, because we had nothing else to do”.
He said it casually, but it is so profound. Lots of kids in Nigeria have nothing constructive to do in their free time when they get back from school. That is why an after-school computing club for secondary (high) school students where there is fast internet and reliable electricity (NEPA) is a brilliant idea. I hope it reaches many kids.
