Can we agree that Linda Ikeji is a tech founder?

You know now, The unicorn. Billion Dollar Valued. Tech Founder Elites that we have here.

Haven’t you heard of them? Gosh I’m surprised. :anguished:

If i extract petrochemicals and made plastics chairs to sell, i am a plastic [chair] company. If someone bought my polymer stock and decides to make Legos out of it, that company is a Lego Company. However, anyone who stockpiles either my plastic chairs or the latter’s Lego figures to sell is only a reseller.

Linda took up host on a proprietary built blogging platform, she’s only a blogger - she founded the blog not the blogging tech. Now, she hosts a social media script on LIS, she’d stop you at social media founder, before you get to tech founder.

Whether your business is in hospitality, ecommerce, transport or waste disposal but you have built one or 2 enabling stack of technology used in optimizing your business, you may well take up the toga of tech founder if nobody remembers to give you.

You would have made it a bit interesting, if those were Nigerian companies you mentioned. I’ll pass on the questions.

The air gets fowl sometimes I just happen to carry the O2 Cleaner.

What do you drink?

Zuck used publicly available tools to build Facebook. Linda has just done same too.

Zuck has used Facebook to change the world. Linda is hoping to do the same too…it’s just a matter of time.

Zuck is a tech founder for building Facebook. Linda (too) is a tech founder for building Linda Ikeji Social.

End of story!!!

lol.
For me Tech founder or not, what we are all trying to do is use technology to solve problems while making money from it. The title (Tech Founder) is not important. I pray she succeed as this will do good for Nigeria Tech community.

Tech founder aside, with LIS, Linda saw an opportunity and is exploiting it. Combine what a lot of ppl love doing blogging and using social media. Whats even more impressive is the way she easily identified ways to monetise the new platform - meeeeiiin she isn’t waiting around. Wishing her all the very best.

I meant back in 2004 when Facebook first launched.

It’s quite unfortunate we don’t know what a tech company is.
No wonder when I go to tech events in Lagos it’s crowded by tech bloggers and journalists. That’s why developers hardly show up.

The person that started this topic has no intention of knowing your opinion.

But it’s true

I’m not saying it to disrespect anyone

Every business uses tech as tools for operation. So if you go by this topic, it means, every registered business is a tech company (they use computers and internet)

For example, Jason Njoku is considered a tech guru by tech bloggers.

Nigeria really doesn’t have a real tech community.

I guess with the absence of tech companies in Nigeria, every company become a tech company
