The app is great. It has great features - the UI is lovely, the app is simple to use, and the user experience is good.
I tried it out, made a transfer and it went through but I didn’t receive any alert.
There’s no transaction log. At least for the sake of accountability there should be a log which includes every transaction made from the app (account numbers, account names, bank names, amount, time, delivery status).
Also, it keeps running out of session. I have to re-login each time I leave the app.
Awesome! Awesome! Straight to the point. Precise! Just Bux Me! That’s all!
I think other Banks should follow suite. Most of them clog so much features into their apps. Truth is most of us only get to use a small subset of the feature set. All that programming work…
But with BuxMe, I already know what I wanna do with it once I open the app.
Nice one!!
You are right @xolubi .
We’re looking into the Zenith card issue. We’ve noticed same on some other bank’s cards.
I’ll follow up with you shortly.
@AJtheGeniuS Noted sir. That would be fixed in the next update.
Thanks @IykeBanks. There’s a log. We called it “Activity Feed”. Please check and let me know if you can see your transaction there.
That session timeout issue is a real pain for a lot of people and we are working on an alternative.
A question to the house: What would you recommend as an alternative to the periodic session timeout? Right now we are considering giving the user to ability to set his/her own timeout period, up to a limit of 1 week. Does this make sense?
I suggest you set it to a considerable time limit fit for at least a complete transaction. Bank Mobile Apps also timeout. This is a needed security feature to prevent unauthorized access and stories that touch.
Set it to approximately 15-30 minutes, that gives you enough time to do your transactions
Well I think between 15-30 minutes is OK. Since the timeout is a security measure.
I’ve seen the activity feed but it updates late. It should update in real time. I made the transfer around 12am and the feed says it happened 5 hours ago.
Also, the feed doesn’t give the whole detail of the recipient. It should specify the recipient’s name, account number, bank and amount.
Also, I sent 100 naira only but it says I sent 400 naira. That’s an error. Please if you can fix these then I guarantee you 5 star + app
How long does it take from when you transfer the money to when the recipient receives the money?
Thanks for this feedback @IykeBanks
On the delayed feed: currently, the feed is only updated when the money you sent has successfully gotten to the receiver’s account. Sometimes the funds can be delayed in transit for a number of reasons as in this case (the destination bank was offline). From your feedback though, we may need to change this.
The 400 naira showing is actually a bug and its been resolved. What happened was that the 100 naira you sent, failed to reach it’s destination 3 times and only succeeded on the fourth attempt. We were wrongly displaying failed and successful attempts. In about 3 hours, when you login again you should see the correct amount.
It’s instant. But issues happen. Sometimes, the sender or receiver’s bank would be offline on all the inter-bank transfer services. Other times, the services themselves would be down. I remember about 2 months ago, one of the major inter-bank transfer service providers was down for over 8 hours in daytime. These are rare occurrences though.
The “sometimes” you talked about here, is presently happening.
Sent a transfer 2days back, its yet to get remitted due to Wema current server difficulty.
Had to use other platform to send it at N100 charge.
Is it possible you make transactions bounce instead of saying successful when server is bad?
@philiprohv can you look into adding Paga to this list?
Will do. Really sorry about that. The downtime was unexpected and affected a whole lot of things.
That would be interesting. Would look into it with the team.
Fabulous…
@philiprohv sir, the app will let me send money to non-buxme user’s phone # using 4 digit transaction code, but won’t let beneficiary receive money with same 4 digit. It prompts that the transaction code should be 6 digits.

Please advise.
Hi @Dapo please uninstall the app you have and download again from the playstore. I will sort out this particular txn right away.
Meanwhile, the app is out of beta and is now available to the public.
Disrupting?
I have an huge issue with the phrase you have used.
Few questions please:
Have you crossed N10,000,000 in funds transferred via your platform.
Have you even gotten to 5000registration for your service?
The response for the above is no.Thus why say your service is disrupting the Banking industry?
Why not rather simply say,you are planning, hoping, thinking your service will or may disrupt that industry?
Isn’t that a better way to view things. I have seen these ignorant use of the word “disrupt” in the Nigerian technology sphere and it just needs to be checked.
Okays, @mauri calm down a bit. No one goes into a business hoping, thinking that their business/service may or may not survive (or in this case, disrupt an industry). If you were to start your own business, you wouldn’t market your service as “Hoping and thinking”.
Buxme is barely a month old, trying to get its foothold in the market. Whether or not they’re able to disrupt or gel would be determined by time…but a month is too soon to tell.
I totally understand your view on the word “Disrupt” and other buzz words that start-ups wield to stand-out in this already crowded space. I share similar bias. Marketing can be hard on start-ups too. Just give them time. Cheers
