Hello Radar,
We’re looking for beta testers for http://skoola.com/.
We cover everything involved in the study abroad process. This means that we will help you search for schools and courses, prepare your application, apply for your visa, get preparatory exam coaching, write exams, make friends, find a house etc.
If you’re a working professional too busy to study abroad but dreaming of a fantastic qualification, we will find you an online course at a world-class university so you do not have to compromise on what matters most in life.

It’s a cool idea generally; it’s still in beta hence the paucity of courses and schools listed. You should work towards increasing your library of schools and courses (someone like me plans to pursue postgraduate studies in molecular and regenerative medicine in places like Harvard, Johns Hopkins or the University of California–any of the campuses); hopefully your startup will get to connecting students to these places for such studies . For the entry level exam preparation, my opinion is that you partner with Prepclass and Tuteria and others in that field to ensure its smoothness. Finally, how long would it take for an applicant who applies through your platform to any of these schools to get into them, having completed his own end of the deal? Have you done substantial market research to find out the least time it takes Nigerian applicants to get into these schools abroad and worked out ways to shorten this and make it seamless for those applying through your platform?

Hello, thanks for your reply. As you must be able to appreciate, databases take considerable time to build and we have been working steadily to add courses to our site everyday. On launch, we had over 2000 courses on the site which I’m sure you’ll agree is pretty decent. In addition, we like to hear people’s suggestions for courses they would like to see, so thank you for your feedback on your preferences. However, kindly note that the absence of a course on the site does not necessarily mean that we do not have a relationship with the school in question, so it would be best to get in touch with us for more information and application. There are several external factors that affect the length of time it takes between application and offer, including university processing, country requirements, individual applicant details, and so on. This means that one cannot accurately quantify how long it would take “in general”. However, the relationships we have established with various schools put us in a prime position of being their partner, meaning an applicant through Skoola would receive priority attention
