Beta Tester for a new Online Community

Hi Everyone,

We are Looking for beta testers to help test-run our website before it opens up to the public.

Naija Hashtag is a community website which allows Nigerians to Find, Share and Discuss trending hashtags across all Social Media Network. We have partnered with HootSuite Analytics to bring you the latest and the most trending hashtags so audience can dive straight into the conversation without searching the entire Social Media spaces across the World Wide Web.

We are still building out the functionalities and working with HootSuite to add more interesting features to the community. Please visit our website www.naijahashtag.com. Go to the Register tab and Sign Up. The more people we have populating the community with data, the exciting it becomes to Find, Share and Discuss trending Naija Hashtags.

Only people who understand what it means to be a beta tester should please register.

What’s the point of that statement? Do you want beta testers or you prefer to throw shade?

Statement wasn’t meant to throw shades at all… I probably should have rephrased and said instead “people who are happy to be contacted for feedback to help expand community functionalities needed to register”. I appreciates some people don’t want to be bother for feedback on anything… Thanks for you comment @PapaOlabode

Too bad. I am not sure I understand what it means to be a beta tester and it’s no use showcasing your product to my friends because I am the “smartest” of them all and they do not know what beta testing is, so they cannot sign up :expressionless:

@ncodes am probably beating myself up for trying to be precise about “beta tester”. I only wanted tester I can go back to for constructive criticism…that’s all.

…everyone is invited…

Let the usage data speak for itself. Oftentimes, the more the testers the merrier. The beta label is just a way to indemnify yourself.

I think products should really be fixed before a test request. It is quite common here. You get a call to test a product and the basic login is broken.

I tried to use the service, and on Facebook login to try for myself. Well, thankfully you are fixing that now.

I can imagine the whole rush to want to push things asap and many things will be broken at first. But please not login, or the very core functionality that the product itself advertises.

@NaijaHashtag it seems the facebook log in hasn’t been fixed yet, trying to register/login with it

To be sincere, its a good concept but the site seems to be heavy…loading takes time…since most users will be on mobile…

UPDATE:

Still waiting on Facebook to approve the APP ID for Naija Hashtag so visitors can register with a Single Sign On.

@simply_yomi @Henry_Obinna @akindolu @onyeka @xolubi @PapaOlabode @ncodes - glad to inform you Naija Hashtag ambassadors that Login/Register with Facebook is all sorted.

It was all down to Facebook “slow” app approval strategy.
