“The Co-creation Hub in Yaba, Lagos has a mobile experience lab (MXLab), where they perform all kinds of usability tests, research et al. Last week, they tweeted about a usability test they conducted for Nigerian bank websites. I think it makes sense, because banks are the custodians of pretty much all our funds, and we…”
My Team did a research on ATM cards and functionality as per which bank offered master or visa or verve and picked Amazon, Interswitch and facebook for switching tests to see which bank card was useful.
This was to enable us educate our customers on why their cards will (or will not) be declined on our site. Quick Airtime.
We also compared interbank local/intl. wire transfer costs and authorization processes for personal/corporate bank accounts because our financial settlement team needed it for off the shelf settlement of merchants using our payment system.
I think CCHub missed some important banks most notably; StanbicIBTC, Standard Chattered and Ecobank. Also, Access Bank.
Interbank local wire transfer is NGN73 at Stanbic versus NGN153 in some other banks.
And sender end intl. wire transfer charge is $25 at ECOBANK versus $65 in some other banks.
Sometimes you get into stats and you realize your preference is just based on emotions and nothing else. I was particularly impressed by the 70+ local wire transfer charge. If anybody’s bank is doing less than 70, will be happy to learn.
Sorry. I was expecting app test instead. I think GTBank’s app sucks.
