Anyone knows a reliable, dependable Nigerian domain provider?

I need a Nigerian domain provider that sells .com.ng and .ng domains and is exceptional. I mean interface, customer service, etc.

I am tired of Smart Web with their badly typed grammar and horrible interface

Thank you but what is your experience with them? I know them and a couple others but do not want to go a-testing blindly

Im currently running two sites there (domain + hosting) on a shared hosting plan tho, but their interface and CS are fine.

What about email hosting, any reliable one in Nigeria ?

@O_niran For email hosting try this guys. buffahost.com Their services are crazily cheap. Though they don’t offer a .com.ng or .ng domain name - They’re cheaper than most Nigerian hosting co. I’ve been on their platform since last year - Services are just superb.

Try http://hostsleek.com/ … been using them for 2yrs now… Great service

buffahost.com email hosting is expensive o…haba…almost more expensive than web hosting

@O_niran not sure which package you checked sha… - they have two kinds though - min - $2/mnth | 30GB / Acct. - that’s way less than Godaddy. But for a hack around d whole thingy - u could register a domain name, and u get to use their two free email acct add-ons. That’s what most bloggers really go for. And it’s actually their Business package which is still very ok.

i subscribed for the mail.zoho.com package, i get 25 free email account with no ad, any other addition to the 25 free email account will require extra charges, but i just want a service that is reside here in Nigeria, so i can go for their throat when they misbehave.

But funny enough, the Nigerian service providers are just reselling services from Indian, American or elsewhere company. That’s the game anyway. Just get a service provider with good customer service - at least anytime Live chat system; should incase you need to talk with em. that’s all…

i don’t like chat stuff, there is little you can do via chat…i prefer a physical office, go there with club and machet to put some sense of fear and urgency in them, and also to take you serious…lol

www.smartweb.com.ng is great and reliable. You could have a look up on them

I disagree. If you read my initial question, you will see that I mentioned that I am tired of smartweb.

They have crappy customer service where their emails are full of misspellings, poorly constructed English, and at least once, gave me a solution that was nothing close to the question I asked.

Their interface is also confusing. I have still not been able to see where to edit DNS records of a domain bought from them

Since you are “tired” of SmartWeb, the next thing in perking order is WhoGoHost (link) (owned by Nigerians - @opeawo of Jobberman and Toba. For full disclosure, i have hosted my sites and clients’ site with them) and DomainKing (actually owned by Indians)
