Ok. I was deciding what payment gateway to use in building something like a marketplace and I decided to use voguepay.
It is not because of the interface (Paystack wins this hands down)
It is partly because of the FREE set up free (I don’t have 50-150k)
It is mostly because of the command API
I needed a way to allow merchants to withdraw their funds WITHOUT having to process each request manually.
I wanted to use the split payments of voguepay, but this will also mean that each merchant has to create an account with voguepay.
The command API saved me because it means that I can build my app to withdraw directly from the vogepay account into the merchant’s bank account.
I am totally in love with the PayStack interface but I don’t think they offer spilt payments where the funds are shared between different bank accounts. I can’t say how hard it will be to set this up to pay to the multiple accounts of many potential merchants.
A way to solve this is to send the accounts to share the funds into along with the payment request.
Is there any other payment gateway that has something similar?
P.S.: I will put the rational and Idea behind this marketplace of mine here for review soon. I am secretly afraid of all the cabals here .
A common sentiment amongst many which I wish was not…but we don’t get all we wish for now, do we?
Generally, it’s not wise to refrain from doing something (if it won’t harm others) because some random (or not random) people feel otherwise.
If Jesus could get it, then everyone can. No exemptions. Don’t let it get to you that some people will disagree with you (whether rightly or not) because it’s one of those things that can’t be wished away.
So long as you aren’t doing stuff just for the aim of receiving an ovation on Radar, do what you have in mind regardless of what anyone here (including me) says.
It might be wise to take some gems from some advice/opinions (which might be delivered in bad taste), but you can as well choose not to.
So, bring your idea or don’t bring it. Let the haters hate or not. Do what you want to do regardless.
No body was successful because everyone agreed with (or said nice things to) them, and no successful person ever had everyone agreeing with (or saying nice things to) them.
At the end of the day, you reserve full rights to throw my free and unwarranted advice in the trash.
Just don’t forget that you are the first beneficiary of the good or bad consequences of your actions, not folks on Radar.

I was thinking of doing some extra work on the interface and all before bringing it here but… I’ll just create a new topic for it and see what people think, take advice, adapt and win!!!
Aside from that, do you know any payment gateway with an api to make remote withdrawal requests?
Also echo that I don’t know because I haven’t had a need to.
