Actually, this is my “rubbish” - Sugabelly Phone Cases
And it’s amazing.
Want to know why? Because I criticize my own work even more harshly than I criticize other people’s work. I hold my own work to the absolutely highest standards possible. Nine times out of ten, I am reluctant to release a product because I think it is shit.
It’s other people who usually say “No Sugabelly, this is good, this is great! This is awesome”
But in my own eyes, I can see the flaws that those people are not seeing, and I’m berating myself inside to do better next time.
Each of those cases took about 50 hours to draw and paint. That’s 50 hours of pure drawing and painting, not 50 hours of some drawing, gisting, going to read a magazine, etc.
I’m fucking amazing at what I do and it’s because I strive for perfection.
Now this website doesn’t have to be perfect, but instead of listening to the wisdom in what I said, you and others here spent your energy whining because I called his website ugly (which is still true).
I did give him constructive criticism, I told him to establish a niche and dominate it. You didn’t see that one.
It’s not my website, so what is my own?
